What to pack (and what to leave at home) for a day on the boat

The Holiboats team 1 min read

A day on the boat is better when you bring exactly what you need and nothing that gets in the way. Here is the short list of what genuinely helps on board, and what you can leave at home because we already provide it.

What's worth bringing

Not much, but the right things:

  • Water-resistant sunscreen: out at sea the sun hits twice as hard.
  • Sunglasses and a cap or hat.
  • A towel, ideally with your swimsuit already on to save time.
  • Flat shoes or bare feet: no heels on deck.
  • A light layer for the evening breeze.

Sunglasses, a cap and the shade of the bimini: the sea does the rest.

What you don't need to bring

Don't lug coolers or ice: the boat has a fridge. Nor food, if you add the Mallorcan picnic, which already comes with island products and drinks. And forget the fuel and the stress of navigating: the skipper takes care of that.

A couple of tips from the skipper

Arrive at Club de Mar with time to spare so you don't leave in a rush, and put your phone on camera mode: the best coves are for looking at, not live-streaming.
